Hot Landscape
The rise of more forest fires everywhere in the world. This work was created after I spent a summer in Southern Europe. In France and Spain, in the wonderful mountainous areas, with beautiful sunsets and lovely landscapes that are so dear to me, there were lots of fires in 2023. Smoke was somewhre behind the mountaintops constantly, At noght fire fighter helicopters flew over. And it is happening everywhere in the world. The world is heating up, making our landscapes hot, and maybe unlivable in the future for ourselves.

Female Flowers
What was the inspiration for your creative work?
This work was inspired by a lot of news about 'the male gaze', Me-too movement and femicide news.
After reading a book about Patriarchy by Angela Saini, I started creating this work.
My vision of how women truly are. Smart, strong, life givers, beautiful but in their way, not just to please the eyes as a lust object. The grey roses are a tribute to older women because aging is somehow not wanted in this society now. The thorns depict the fierceness, the anger, the not wanting to be harassed of all women I know. The growing lines also depict spiritual growth in a woman's life.

The Importance of Arts, Culture & The Creative Process
Art can make difficult topics comprehensive, or shine a new light on seemingly insurmountable differences of opinion. It can unify, move, engage people, and that is so needed now the worls is on fire, there are wars, and societies are polarising, and environmental hazards are happening becaus eof human behaviour.
